The friendly gecko on my wall keeps me company at night,
Chirrups and kills flies – just enough– to satisfy his appetite.
Or, upside -down on the ceiling, which he grips with padded toes,
He stares at me and winks, “Hi, there!” I feel a warming glow.
He inspires me to think anew, to change my fixed point of view.
When in danger he drops off his tail , climbs up a tree or wall-:
My mental muscles are so stiff, can I flip around , free-fall?
The world is changing quick and fast, I really hope mankind will last
Will be flexible, change, evolve , discard bad habits of the past.
Jump over mental blocks, unpollute the earth, and sea,
Redistribute earth’s resources, use renewable energy!
